QA Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and test cases for various stages of the development lifecycle.
- Conduct manual and automated testing, including regression, integration, performance, and functional testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs through issue tracking systems, working closely with developers for timely resolution.
- Ensure that new and legacy products meet rigorous quality standards before release.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test documentation, including test cases and test results.
- Participate in design and product review discussions to understand features, risks, and design requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and the overall product development process.
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in testing methodologies.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
Required Skills:
- Technical proficiency: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with testing tools: Proficient in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber) and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Programming knowledge: Basic coding skills, preferably in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Attention to detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and suggest effective solutions.
- Communication skills: Clear and concise communication skills for reporting, documentation, and collaboration.
- Understanding of SDLC: Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly Agile methodologies.
- Performance and load testing experience (desirable): Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter or LoadRunner) is a plus
